What's her deal?

Anya had dedicated her entire life to the study of monsters - but she never expected to find that she was a monster herself. Her appearance and physiology were all too human-adjacent, and her psychic abilities had manifested subtly and subconsciously - and so, she'd lived in the Districts as yet another perfectly normal human citizen, her true nature unnoticed by even herself.

It was a known fact that the Districts did not welcome monsters. Which was why, when the discovery was eventually made, Anya knew she could live in the Districts no more - and she couldn't thank the World-Takeover-ers enough for taking her in.

The World-Takeover-ers were the ones who led her to making the discovery in the first place - and when she was lost, scared, and overwhelmed by the truth, the World-Takeover-ers had so kindly offered her comfort, shelter, and a community that truly understood her, accepted her, and loved her as how she was. Gondo, the leader with a big heart, whose love and enthusiasm towards his friends were infectious; Nikki, the strategist, whose unwavering dedication to the team showed she truly cared; Anonymous, a fellow monster and a child at heart, whom she found joy in caring for; and Jon, the enigma, who was helping her discover more and more about herself every day.

And then, of course, there was Maxwell.

Words could not describe how thankful she was to be able to have him in her life. Maxwell was genuine, warm, and way better at caring for others than he thinks he is. For when darkness surrounded her, it was Maxwell who reached out, it was Maxwell who hugged her, it was Maxwell who promised in absolute sincerity that he would always love her as how she really is. He understood her, accepted her, and loved her as how she was.

And that was one of the many, many reasons why she loved him, too.

FUN FACTS!

• She is the only person (aside from Maxwell) to be able to read Maxwell's handwriting.
• Her graduation thesis was a discussion on the Hydra, a monster said to have existed many eons ago, discussing the plausibility of their existence as well as possible influences, comparing them to ancient myths and currently existing monsters alike. She is currently planning to rewrite this paper, now that she has new perspectives on the study of monsters as a whole.
• Really wants to learn embroidery.
