The World Takeover-ers (WTO)
This page serves as a more in-depth introduction to the World-Takeover-ers storyline - or at least a place where I stuff all my weird ramblings and (un)fun facts about this storyline and call it a day. My organization abilities are truly unparalleled. What's this story about?
A supervillain team tries to take over the world and fails spectacularly. They also have some allies and some enemies or something, who may or may not try to help them or explode them when they're trying to take over the world. Yeah.
This section is unfinished. I might come back to it later (i.e. not today) if I feel like it.

But what exactly are these guys doing in the story?
So uh... yeah here's a small writeup on what exactly these guys are doing in the story.
- The World-Takeover-ers, consisting of Gondo, Nikki, Anonymous, and Jon, are the centric group of the story. Typically, they're the ones who go on (world-takeover-ing) missions together.
- WTO currently crashes at Maxwell's home, which happens to be a gigantic underground manor fortress thing settled right next to District 55 (basically just some human settlement).
- Meanwhile, Anya also happens to live at Maxwell's manor.
- This essentially means Maxwell and Anya are WTO's "weird roommates" of sorts. Although to be fair, WTO is probably a lot weirder than Max and Anya... Max also works as the scientific / technical support of WTO, who frequently invents random gadgets for the team to use, as well as provide remote technological support during WTO's missions; meanwhile, Anya offers technical knowledge on monsters, since she specializes in the study of monsters (and is also a monster herself). Occasionally, Anya also joins WTO on missions - Max doesn't because he's vowed to never leave his manor before the Greatest Creation is finished.
- As a paranormal investigator on a quest to rid the world of the eldritch, Simon runs into WTO a lot more often than he'd expect. WTO could be on a mission to steal some grand diamond from a museum, only for Simon to also be at the same museum to investigate some eldritch interference or whatnot. In fact, it's become so frequent now that Gondo considers Simon WTO's #1 archnemesis, who is constantly foiling their evil schemes; in reality however, Simon never intended to do so - he really couldn't care less about this team of clowns, but somehow he still keeps running into them over and over again. Oh, and as a bonus, Simon currently stays at an inn located in, you guessed it, District 55. They're freaking neighbors.
- Tally, WTO's #2 archnemesis, is a superhero currently stationed at District 55. Unlike Simon, she actively seeks to bring WTO to justice! WTO semi-regularly runs into her when they're running around District 55 doing daily stuff, and it usually devolves into a wild chase that ends in WTO just managing to narrowly escape her pursuit. On a side note, Tally's civilian persona ("Tally Tolzmann") also occasionally runs into WTO, and if Tally forgets to bring her cape with her (which is a part of her "superhero suit"), she won't attack them (since it would "expose her civilian persona") and will instead pretend to be a normal civilian.
- Itawati runs an underground tavern (named Smoke & Mirrors) in a corner somewhere in District 55. They are WTO's greatest information supplier, often offering juicy information in exchange for WTO running errands or sidequests for them, like a real questgiver does. Also, the drinks they make are awesome, and Smoke & Mirrors is a nice place to have a party at. (It even has a karaoke machine!!) Very occasionally, Ita also joins WTO on missions, although decidedly less so, and only on small-scale missions that do not go too far from District 55.
- Ever since the awakening from his thousand-year slumber (or so he says), Eradicus, Lord of All Fire, Ender of the Old World, has been trying to incinerate the entire world - starting from District 55. This places him on opposing sides with WTO since, well, you can't take over the world if it's already burned to a crisp first - as such, when Eradicus attacks District 55, sometimes WTO will be there to stop him (although most of the time it's Tally's job). Very occasionally, WTO and Radi also find themselves on the same side of a fight, or crossing paths during day-to-day activities. You know, just like neighbors do.
- Finally, Flashdark lives in a cottage built inside of an abandoned building (?!) just outside of District 55. Occasionally WTO goes to visit him, although most days it's just Anon. Usually WTO go to Flash if they need very obscure and / or mundane items (e.g. buttons, rolling pins, 21 knitting needles) because it's been proven on multiple occasions that he's the most likely to own such things. Occasionally Flash also acts as their #2 monster specialist if needed, since he's the only monster they know aside from Anya, Radi, and... Anon......
Fun character facts
Here are some fun (?) facts about the characters of the WTO! This mostly refers to the main cast characters.
- The "main cast characters," or "WTO main cast" as I sometimes call them, include the following characters: Gondo, Nikki, Anonymous (Anon), Jon, Maxwell (Max), Anya, Simon, Tally, Itawati (Ita), Eradicus (Radi), and Flashdark (Flash). The short version of the characters' names are how I personally refer to them (either in some sort of "affectionate" way or just a shorthand), but it isn't essentially their most often used in-universe nicknames.
- The "WTO" are just the four characters who are "officially" members of the World-Takeover-ers - so Gondo, Nikki, Anon, and Jon.
- The "manor crew" refers to the six-person group of Gondo, Nikki, Anon, Jon, Max, and Anya - because (a) they all live in Maxwell's Manor, and (b) they're a pretty close-knit bunch - Max and Anya assist in the WTO's world-domination plans and day-to-day shenanigans alike.
- Meanwhile, the five-person group that is Simon, Tally, Ita, Radi, and Flash also sometimes get together and do stuff, albeit a lot less often than the manor crew. They eventually may or may not get the collective name "The Five of Fates," for... some reason. I usually just call them the failbean five or just the failbeans, because... *gestures at them* fail. And beans. Okay in all seriousness though it started as an inside joke of sorts but eventually stuck, so yeah.
- My brain registers these characters as "pairs" - Gondo & Nikki, Anon & Jon, Max & Anya, Simon & Tally, and Ita & Radi. Flash is not in a pair (?) because the main cast has an odd number of people (???). These "pairs" may indicate something about the characters, but this whole pairing thing mostly just exists to appease my brain.
- From a meta perspective, the order of conception of the characters in the WTO main cast (or rather, the first iteration of what would eventually become this character) is as follows: Gondo → Anon → Radi → Tally → Anya → Nikki = Jon → Max = Simon → Flash → Ita. What this could possibly imply is up to you.
